I get that—we all want the same thing.

So, I decided to sit down and research some worthy anime that are worth your time. And I am sure you have missed some of them. Also, please note I will be including some long-running anime like One Piece and Demon Slayer, which still have room to add more to their story.

Trending Anime Released in 2023/2024/2025

In this part of the blog, you will find some fine anime that started airing in 2023 or after. They are fresh content that almost all anime fans have watched. If you have not, start reading now!

Dandadan

Imagine a world with aliens and ghosts—did you imagine? To watch it happening, Dandadan is your go-to anime. Combined with modern goofy action, with a bit of weird adult humor, this one is enough to keep your eyes glued to the screen.

Momo and Okarun, the two weird high schoolers, are obsessed with awakened powers, ghosts, and aliens. Each of them believes in either ghosts or aliens. Later, after some spicy events, they find everything they believe exists. Awakened powers, aliens, and ghosts—all of it is real.

The second season of Dandadan finished airing on September 18, 2025. The third one will contain new characters and arcs. It was loved by fans all over the world and is expected to run for some time.

Sakamoto Days

Taro Sakamoto was once a name feared in the assassination world—he was a legend. Now he retires and settles down with his family as a store owner. And here our story begins, when his past life catches up to him. He starts protecting his family while keeping his family and current lifestyle intact.

This one is sure to turn into a classic in the future because of the comedy and unique fight scenes. If you love assassination anime, coupled with a secretive, powerful protagonist—you are in for a treat. So far, only one season was released, and it gained over 24 million views on Netflix alone. So, yes, it will be back.

The Ossan Newbie Adventurer

Rick Gladiator always wanted to be an adventurer, but he is a late power bloomer and starts working as a guild clerk. The pay is steady, and he is living out his days. One day, he meets a girl who is an S-class adventurer (the most powerful adventurers in this world are S-class).

Trying to save her from a dragon, he awakens his ability. She offers him to join her party, which consists of only S-class adventurers and the strongest party on the continent. He starts training to his death, and dies many times, but is revived by the party’s Orc leader.

The Ossan Newbie Adventurer is a good one but rarely discussed. I am including it on this list because of the entertainment value it provides. The goofy protagonist is a little below average in mind, but in wits and raw power, he is higher than S-class. You’ll love it!

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2

Started with a bang, Kaiju No. 8 is a must-see anime for all of you. Set in a world facing powerful giant kaijus, Kafka Hibino is a 32-year-old monster cleaning crew member, but with the dream of becoming a strong defense force member (they are like hunters who deal with kaiju using tech, powers, and skills).

One day, he is attacked by a unique kaiju larva, which forcefully enters his mouth. It turns him into a humanoid kaiju with the highest threat level. He still has his consciousness intact, which is surprising. The story takes on from there and gets interesting with each episode.

Currently, its second season is airing and is in its final stages. We are sure to witness some new shocking developments and fights. And yes, it is binge-worthy and one of the best anime of 2025.

Gachiakuta

Another trending anime of 2025 that started airing this year is Gachiakuta. Not your typical cheat-skill protagonist, but a real-life struggling one, is the maker of this story. Japan’s obsession with garbage disposal and garbage monsters lore is brought to life in this anime.

It centers on Rudo, who lives in a city’s slums—a place where society discards both its trash and the people it deems worthless. The plot kicks into gear when he’s framed for murder and cast into the “Abyss,” a massive garbage chasm.

Instead of perishing, Rudo awakens a hidden power connected to the very junk that surrounds him. So far, there are only 11 released episodes, and you can expect another 13 episodes. Season 1 of Gachiakuta will have 24 episodes and will likely end on December 21, 2025.

The Water Magician

The Water Magician anime started airing in 2025, so it is a new addition to noteworthy anime that are enough to bring you some entertainment. It follows the usual reincarnation plot where the protagonist, Ryo, is reborn in a fantasy world with the unique powers of Eternal Youth and Water Magic.

At first, he is delighted that he will have a peaceful life, savoring the delights of this fantasy world. However, he finds that this world is infested with monsters and other terrifying threats. So, for 20 years, he works on improving his magic and later finds himself in the spotlight of the most historical events of this world.

This anime is excellent for binge-seeking anime fanatics. So far, it has only one season, and you can expect it to return in the summer of 2026.

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too

Aired in 2023, this anime with the famously long name is a fantastic example of the “isekai” genre done in a unique way. The protagonist, Yuuya, starts off having a pretty rough time—he’s bullied and feels like he’s hit rock bottom. Everything changes when he stumbles into another world and gains overpowered “cheat” abilities.

While it’s definitely a wish-fulfillment story, it works because we get to see Yuuya’s emotional journey. It’s an entertaining ride that balances epic power-ups with a relatable core. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about season 2, so let’s hope for the best!

I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability

A powerful sorcerer dies during a duel and reincarnates as a toddler (Prince Lloyd of Saloum). In this life, he has tremendous magic potential far exceeding his previous life. He takes his time perfecting his magic and battles foes when he is only a child.

Although I personally don’t like childish protagonists, this one is sure to be loved. The story, the character building, music, and anime quality are of great quality. In short, it’s a solid choice for any magic-school or fantasy fans. Its second season is ongoing and will soon be finished.

Long Running Trending Anime

This segment of the blog will house anime which started in the last decade or before and are still running in 2025. They are the best of the best anime, and have billions of fans worldwide.

One Punch Man Season 3

There is no other anime which was more discussed or memed than One Punch Man. The sad thing about this one is its long release pauses between each seasons. The first season was released in 2015m the second was in 2019, and now One Punch Man season 3 will start airing on October 5, 2025 – very close.

You can learn more about One Punch Man season 3 here. Also, we have discussed the story line by avoiding spoilers to the best of our ability.

One Piece

The most popular anime of all time is none other than One Piece. And it’s popularity is because of a unique world building, interesting arcs, and ideal character development. The comedy coupled with emotional plots this anime satisfies almost all kinds of fans.

Some of the best points of One Piece are devil fruits, haki, numerous human like nations, pirates, marines, av evil world governments, and nobles (celestial dragons). And don’t forget about the emperors of the seas, warlords, royalties, marine rankings like admirals, and very recently new and even more powerful powerhouses are brough to life.

It is one of the longest running anime, and most of the unknown secrets of the story are still left to be told. Hopefully it’s end will be worth the wait.

Dr. Stone

Imagine everyone in the world turns to stone, and after thousands of years (3700), the protagonist Senku Ishigami, along with a few others, comes back to life. The people who turned to stone are all alive but need a special chemical poured on their bodies to return to normal.

Even after hundreds of years, they don’t age a single day. Dr. Stone’s Senku is a rare genius who even remembers the number of seconds when he was petrified. It was a mysterious light that turned the world into stone, and he later uncovers its mysteries.

This anime is not your usual superpowers, magic, or fantasy elements—rather, it is filled with unique story plots, science, and pure raw strength. It tells the story of the genius Senku, who wants to bring back civilization as it was thousands of years ago.

Dr. Stone has 4 seasons, and the final 4th season is currently airing, and the fans cannot get enough of it. It is truly a unique anime, and hey, if you are a science person, you get to learn a lot of useful stuff that you can actually apply in your studies.

The Rising of the Shield Hero

The anime is based on a high fantasy story where the protagonist, Naofumi Iwatani, is summoned to a world of magic and monsters. Along with him, other heroes are also summoned to face the looming threat of the Waves of Catastrophe.

He soon gets the grasp of his abilities and powers and makes a good name for himself. Although with no apparent powers, he is seen as more of a burden to the team. After some time, the team asks him to leave since they could defend just fine without him.

He leaves the team, but they soon realize that they are nothing without him and his tactics. He was too overpowered with just his defense. In later episodes, he evolves his powers and can use his shield to attack in unique ways. In the end, he is the only real threat to the Waves of interdimensional monsters.

This anime recently had its fourth season and is something to watch with patience. The story gets better with each episode, although for some of you it might feel a little too slow or boring. But when you get to the end of season 1 of The Rising of the Shield Hero, you will be hooked.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

Bleach has a huge fan following globally. It ended with a bang in 2012. Up until 2012, it already had 16 seasons under its belt, and they were way too interesting. It is only my solo opinion, but I found it interesting and worth watching. Bleach came back with the long-awaited Thousand-Year Blood War in 2022. I believe it is not that good at present.

The final parts of the last chapters of the Bleach manga, Thousand-Year Blood War, are expected to conclude in 2026. I hope they make it worthwhile. They have made the story too complicated, and the powers and abilities of Quincies are way too white/dark and not interesting enough like the 2012 finale. Thoughts?

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

Naruto is a classic and a timeless anime. What we used to feel in Naruto is rarely felt in this sequel. Still, it is part of the same world, and we can see our favorite characters showing their powers. Boruto is the main protagonist of this anime and the son of the Hokage, Naruto.

The world-building is more modern, and the villains introduced may turn out to be even more powerful in the future. So far, it has yet to surprise us like its predecessor. What are your thoughts about Boruto: Naruto Next Generations? Is it great like Naruto?

One Punch Man Season 4

The season 3 of the long-awaited One Punch Man is around the corner. It was a very long wait, and only Saitama’s true fans can understand the pain of this long, long wait. My Thoughts on Trending Anime of 2025

As an anime fan I have come across numerous titles in the past few years but only a few of them entertained me enough to put them on this list. The anime mentioned in this trending anime list are some of the finest produced in the past few years. The long running anime included in this list are one of a kind, and are sure to rock the world of any anime fanatic. The popular anime like Solo Leveling season 4 not happening soon break the hearts of many anime fans. But such is the way of the world – Good things only happen to those who wait! Thoughts?
