Anime is a huge universe, and picking out a single strongest character is a tricky task. Who is the strongest anime character, ever, is a question which plays often in our heads. I have done all the research, compared powers, and abilities; made a list.

Some of you might disagree while others may favor my thoughts. Will I rank Goku as the strongest? Or will it be Saitama? But we are not talking only about heroes. Villains are also included as characters, and most of them are stronger than their corresponding heroes. Let’s begin!

The Strongest Anime Characters in All of Anime – One of the Strongest ones

Putting in just one character as the strongest in anime will be unjust. Don’t worry I will tell you about him/her at the end. But let’s not forget the ”one of the strongest” ones first. Before I dive into the actual fun, these are popular anime characters only. I will not include some unknown or very rarely seen anime character. That will kill all the fun. And I don’t want you to think, ”who is that”?

Remember the character I will include in this list may as well be the strongest character, after all most of the anime/novels/manga are still on going. Who knows how they may end up as. Enjoy the following Strongest anime character tier list.So, here we go!

Saitama (One‑Punch Man)

Is Saitama the strongest anime character? He will beat most of the popular anime characters in a punch. And there are only 1% anime characters that might survive the first punch, and continue the fight. Goku, Superman, Luffy, Cosmic Garou, etc and some of those anime characters. And I counted only male anime characters.

It is without a doubt that Saitama is one of the strongest ones in all of the anime series. Some might say he is a gag hero, drawn to be undefeated. While that might be true, but a hero he still is. If there was a list for strongest bald characters, Saitama will definitely top that list.

Goku (Dragon Ball series)

Is Goku the strongest anime character? Yes, and no. While Saitama is already at its peak with no clear growth, unless he fights a being worthy of giving him a tough time. If Goku Vs. Saitama happens, Saitama might grow in the battle moment, and suprise us with a new move.

Goku, on the other hand always grows exponentionally, after every fight. He is the undisputed king among heroes or pupular anime male characters. Certainly he is one of the strongest characters alive in the anime world.

Anos Voldigoad (The Misfit of Demon King Academy)

A reincarnated demon king, can bend reality, possess unlimited magic, and almost never dying attributes. His source of power (destruction) is inherited from Voldigoad bloodline and the Lion of Destruction. Furthermore, he is immune to most form of magic due to his Origin Magic Immunity.

I believe he is one of the most overpowered character in anime. Feats like moving moon to create solar eclipse, and destroying everything with his seven steps magic are breeze for him. Recently he retained memories of an epic entity Noah, gaining Voldigoad and Graham making him almost invulnerable.

Madoka Kaname (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

Typically, there are only male anime characters in storongest lists but this one is a female. Normal universal laws don’t apply on her, and she exist beyond them. After her wish in Puella Magi Madoka Magica she ascended to her ultimate form. In my opinion she is the most powerful female anime character.

In short, among anime female characters she is unrivaled. She became Law of Cycle after removing all witches from time and space; as they never existed. Typically, anime female character don’t make into such rankings but this one is exceptional. Way too powerful, Thoughts?

Rimuru Tempest (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime)

Rimuru as in anime, is not worthy of this list. However, we all know his story, and his rising to a multiversal level being. So, as per light novel/web novel, he certainly deserves among the rankings of the strongest characters in anime.

His final evolution to a multiversal beings grants him the ability of detroy, and create new universes. All of his skills merge, and he evolves into an enitrely new state. Sitting, above all in the Slime verse. From, humble beginnings, to demon lord, to the overlord of the world, he is an interesting character with a witty attitude. Truly, deserving a place in the list of the most powerful anime characters.

Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Satoru Gojo, though a side character in Jujutsu Kaisen, but he is one of those male anime characters who made their place among the most popular anime characters of all time.

Limitless Cursed Technique, and the Six Eyes, make him almost unbeatable in his own universe. Some of you might disagree with my pick, but he is perhaps more powerful than most fans think.

His skills like Hollow Purple, Reverse Cursed Technique, and his Domain Expansion Unlimited Void are perfectly merged with his Six Eyes, making him a worthy anime character for this list of the strongest.

Most Strongest Anime Character – The only one

Zeno (Dragon Ball Super)

The undisputed king of our list is none other than Zeno. The Omni-King of the Dragon Ball universe. He can erase the whole universes with a mere thought. According to the authors of Dragon Ball, he wields absolute omnipotence.

Once he erased entire six universes due to bordom on a slow day. Naturally, he stands above all in the dragon ball verse. Almost every other character in this list will be defeated by him in an instant. Do you think there is any character in anime that can rival him?

Muzan Kibutsuji (Demon Slayer)

Muzan is the Immortal progenitor of the demons. He is practically almost immortal, possess unlimited regeneration, and a mental fortitude of the most cunning, and ruthless villain in all of the anime series.

Muzan is a master in biokinesis. It means he can regenerate, and reshape any of his organs – both internal, and external. In his fights he uses long whips which are part of his body. The same goes for any of his bones, arms, head, etc.

He can create multiple hearts within his body, and the same is true for any of his organs like brains. Even a small part of his body can regerate his whole body in a instant. He really is the main primordial demon, and villain of the Demon Slayer world.

Tetsuo Shima (Akira)

The only character in all of anime with Psychic powers at a cosmic scale which threatens the entire Akira universe. His out of control powers, and having no will during his evolution to a higher being eliminates him from my list of powerful anime beings. Otherwise, he might have a spot up there. His big bang, reality bending, and creation of new dimensions are is key powers.

Yhwach (Bleach)

The big bad Quincy King who threatens the whole Bleach realms. And with a good reason, and a whole lot of power at his disposal. He is the son of the Soul King and leader of the Quincy. Among the most hated anime character he may yet top the list along with Muzan. But it is not about hate, it is about the story, and their part in it.

His power is not limited to Reiatsu, in fact he can see the future, thus making him an unbeatable foe. During the Thousand-Year Blood War arc he defeated the entire soul society, and the captains with ease. He can also grant powers to his group, and can take them as well. He defeated Yamamoto, and even absorbed the Soul King. I don’t want to spoil much, but there is more to the story when you watch it. And it is not the end!

Mob (Mob Psycho 100)

A seeminly harmless boy who have Cataclysmic psychic powers which increase as his emotional state. To what extent? that is still unknown. When his emotional state reaches 100% he becomes an entirely different person, making him almost invulnerable. And beyond 100%? That is entirely a world-shaking phenomenon.

He is so overpowered that he defeated many high-tier espers without even trying. He has the potential to warp reality, and bend time-space. The real terror is not the villains in this anime, but Mob himself; if he lost control!

My Thoughts on Who is the Strongest Anime Character

After watching, and exploring numerous awesome anime series, I could only name Zeno from Dragon Ball universe as the strongest character in all of anime.
